The Meeting Classic Jazz

It is my great pleasure to invite you to attend a new cycle of music meetings entitled “Classic and Jazz”.

As their name indicates, the meetings are focused on classic and jazz music. In these types of concerts, I would like two highlight two unlimited sources of music, the combination of which creates new improvisatory possibilities in jazz.

Looking at the history of jazz, that can be traced back to North America, it is apparent that a clash of cultures from different parts of the world had a huge impact on opening a new music chapter called “Jazz”, which is still evolving.

In the meetings’ program, we will find many classical music compositions that inspired improvising artists as well as characteristic classical arrangement of jazz music compositions, accompanied by symphony orchestra instruments such as: harp, French horn, violin or cello.

For the upcoming season we have prepared for you four concert proposals. The following outstanding music artist will participate in the concerts: Piotr Wyleżoł (POLAND), Karen Edwards (USA), Beata Urbanek-Kalinowska (POLAND), Michał Barański (POLAND) and Ewa Uryga (POLAND).
